What is LIFE literally?
The meaning of life has been interpreted in so many forms and ways. Man seems to feel that he is in control of his life, and has the right to decide what he wants to do with this life. The main idea is to have a good time and because a man does not live for long, it can be abused, or pleasured, or even just wasted away. Not realizing that some where in time one will give an account of the life they have lived. The abuser regrets it when he lies on his early death bed that there was still so much he could have done. The one that lived in the lap of pleasure suddenly realizes at the end of his life he has left nothing behind that people will remember as a good life. Yes and the life that was just wasted away come to realize “I have achieved nothing”. Life just literally has no meaning. Oh, how foolish can man be? If we were only taught, some one would say, that there was and is much more to life than just emptiness, we would have done it so differently. Surly today, there is much more to life literally, than just to waste it away. The understanding of LIFE is derived from God. It was not by magic that we have come to be, or by evolution like some try and explain it because they do not believe in God and with great and wonderful explanations try and say why God does not excises. Life is a total gift from God and the whole of mans existence depends on His (Gods) maintenance there of. The air that we breathe, the food that we eat the water that we drink keeps the life of man in being. Take the water, air and food away and the physical being of mans life comes to a dead end. That is literally the case of life.
If the life we have has then be lend to us by God….I hope you notice the word LEND…. What is the meaning then there of? Literally it means that we will give the life back to God one day. If it was wasted or abused or broken or even destroyed God will cast life away and burn it. It is no good to Him any more. We as man do that even today. No man keeps broken things, we get rid of things that have no sentiment or even use to us as it is worth nothing. God created man perfect. Babies are in most cases born perfect and pure. But as life approach time of understanding man gets taught both to conserve life and to treasure it. We get taught about the fact that there is much more to life than just too live for the “I” factor. God’s intentions are for man to live and to enjoy his life. As a matter of fact He even stresses the fact by saying, “Be happy, young man, while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and what ever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment.” Surly this statement draws the attention to the fact that there is much more to life than just living it up and enjoying oneself. It seems to me somehow that man literally feels that he is going to live forever and that some how he is invincible and bad things or even death just come knocking at some peoples doors. The sad part is that this is not the truth. Man does not know when the time comes that he has to give an account for the life he lived.
Life reality…
What is the true fact of life then? I am definitely not an expert in this. But there is one thing that I have come to learn about life and that is that one needs to get a grip of life and to get a grip in life. I have come to realize that if I had to give an account of this life one day and return it to its rightful owner that I would only give the best back and try to achieve something in life in which I could present to Him again. My true aim is to give the best I can give even though I know in my own strength and power it would never be enough. The reality of life is that it belongs to God. God is the author of life and yes He is the end there of. Life began with God and life ends with Him. The reality of life is much deeper than mere fact that one can live and be happy. It is to know that ones life is an eternal life. It continues for all eternity and that is why God has made provision for the life of man to be preserved in eternity. Natural life has a beginning but no end. For the saved it involves eternal life and endless union with God. For the unsaved it involves eternal existence in separation from God. God in His love and merciful way have made provision for mankind to experience eternal life and to live in His presence for all eternity. This is the gift of God as a result of faith in Jesus Christ. For it is by this free gift (Grace) you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is a gift from God-not by works, so that no man can boast. For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. The reality of life is a continuance, perfection and communion with God entered upon by the saved on the earth. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. It is the reality of life….it is the test of life… to have eternal life….. If you believe you have achieved eternal life through Jesus Christ Gods Son….. If you have the Son of God, you have life! If you do not have the Son of God you have not got life! To experience the absoluteness of life is to experience God in your life for as in the beginning of life He is the source there of.
Life is great and serious
Is it not great to be alive and have a life to live? To realize that suddenly you have a meaning and that it does not just lead to some dead end, some dark nothingness but a great ending. It is wonderful to know that God is not just somewhere up there in the blue sky and that He has no interest in the life you live. On the country we come to understand that God had always intended to have fellowship with mankind and to make man aware of His awesome presence. The means that God has used was through a great love sacrifice His Son Jesus Christ and it is through knowing and getting to know Jesus that one can live a great life.
If you have been plodding along in the desert, an invitation to stop over at the oasis and sit down at the still waters and to rest your weary soul is coming to you today. All I can say is that Jesus had said that if life is a heavy burden for you, you need to just come to Him and He will give you rest.
In closing I would like to let you know, that you are never alone and that the Love of God and the gift of eternal life is always available. It can only benefit your life and make a great person of you yet.
God Bless you,
From the banks of Elim Oasis……!
