No Where to go . . . or is it Know Where to go . . .

The thought of an Oasis makes one think of a water pool in the desert with a few Palm       trees spread around them. Just the thought would give any lost soul in the desert a feeling of satisfaction, just to KNOW that there would be water and shade there, a place of rest….It would surely be a place where one could stay.

The sad part of many Oasis’s are that they could be mirages and one could be left feeling desolate, as they were not real. It would be, NOwhere to go…..and it should have been I Know where to go. How tragic in today’s life, is the fact that so many have nowhere to go, yet they do actually know Where to go. Life is so sad. So many folk in the world think they are safe as it is surely the money and the friends and the party life that makes things go round. Yet when they find them selves alone and on a one on one basis with them selves, the me and my conscience scenario, it is then that the desperate feelings of despair gets a hold of the mind. The out come, a bit more alcohol or a joint or a last sniff for the calmness of ones inner soul….. An Oasis that is only a mirage and it disappear as soon as the effects would ware out. How sad….!!

Mans dependency on the substances of the world that is suppose to give one satisfaction, calmness, peace, and stability seem to not hold its mark in their lives. Or some find an Oasis of religion and they would grab a hold of it with all there might. Bent low at the brim of the pond. A pond of religious fanaticism, just to discover that the peace that it brings does not satisfy the deep longing for sweet water and a place of rest. As with this the religious Oasis one has so many limits…. One has to do so many things to obtain the real meaning of life. As some has put it so boldly…. Now I have found peace! Yet in the desert one can find this Oasis marked by its palms of rest but the water is too deep to find …. Or it is a fact that there is no water actually there and the religious Oasis is a dry pit of self mutilation and own sacrifices. It is just as plain as a mirage in the desert, and that there is nowhere to go to find true happiness and to actually find the real Oasis of life.

You need to KNOW where to go…..On your own you can never do it!!! On your own you will go NO where. You need to be lead to the Oasis that will bring satisfaction. Where there is true rest and restoration for the soul, and peace for the mind. A oasis with still waters and green pastures.

If I may, ask your permission for a moment in your life. I have heard of a MAN that was true to His word. He knew every desert in life. He also knew every heart ache and pain. He was a born leader and His mission was to lead people to the Oasis of life. He KNEW where to go and He has never failed any one as yet. Those who have met Him and had drunk from His Oasis had never thirst again. They had found the peace so long sought after and had found His leading to be impeccable. He had made the valley of the shadow of death look like a well lit tunnel of love, and had driven the fear of death back into the shadows of the valley. He brought the comfort that was so desperately needed. He anointed the weary head that was scourged by the deadly rays of the sun of life and pleasure, to make ones cup run over with harmonious peace. If you KNEW where to go you would only find goodness and mercy there. Yes, you will return again and again for more, and you will dwell at this Oasis forever.

One question dear pilgrim lost in the desert of life. If you had been given the direction to an Oasis would you walk away from it or would you go and camp at the appointed place. Many had come to this oasis and plenty Had KNOWN where to go but had perished in the desert world.

I KNOW where to go and there is a invitation for one and all to enjoy the water of Life that was given to all that were thirsty. Jesus did say I am the water of life and he who drank of the water He gave to them will never thirst again.

Today you have read and have heard of the Oasis that brings pure delight and satisfaction to the soul. If you find your self with out strength and you could not return to the Oasis of life …. Remember you have been left to make a choice in life. You will never be able to say… you had…..NOWHERE TO GO…….because the direction to a Oasis of rest have been shown to you!! Psalm 23

Says that the Lord is your Shepherd and he leads you beside the still waters and He restores your soul..……and now you Know where to go!! Turn today to the Lord for peace and rest for your weary soul!!

Shalom…..May the Peace of God be with you!
